July Newsletter

Bluestninja Newsletter - 7.06

Oh well, yes. I forgot to send one in June. Ok ok ok. To be more honest: I did not forget to send one but instead was too lazy and before I knew it, June was over. So here is one for July, my favorite month of the year, as it's filled with camping, swimming, my birthday, hot weather, baseball, and World Cup nuttiness (at least this year).

1. Sold Paintings
2. Saatchi Gallery
3. 1-Year Old Needlepoint

1. Sold Paintings

In June, I sold three paintings - 2 to the same person (a double purchase!) and one to a different person who happens to also share my birthday. Sad to Know and Dot Dot Dot both were sold and are co-habitating in Oakland, California, while I Told You Before has decided not leave San Francisco.

2. Saatchi Gallery

Once upon a time, there was an advertising firm named Saatchi and Saatchi, run by one Charles Saatchi. Charles Saatchi decided that he liked artwork and decided to collect it, quickly becoming the largest and most well-known collector of contemporary art the world over. He opened a gallery in London to showcase all of his artwork. Someone who works at the Saatchi Gallery stumbled across the bluestninja world and invited me to join their online community of artists. Yeah, no kidding. So, now you can also find a little bit of bluestninja hiding out at: Bluestninja on Saatchi Gallery

3. 1-Year Old Needlepoint

Seriously. It has taken me almost one entire year to finish this thing. And I'm not quite done yet. I've dragged this around with me to 3 different countries, 4 states, bunch of beaches, some tall mountains, and a couple lakes and rivers. I will be done soon. I swear.

Take care and have a good summer.
Randy
